battery (6 months old) keeps dying after a couple of days of driving round. im assuming this means my alternator has packed in? or could there be a simpler solution? battery light is showing on dashboard. any help appreciated

Get a hold of a multimetre and check what voltage you get when the car is off and started , should be about 14 -15 iirc when running

how long you had car for bud? i had same prob with my car bat was draining over night. It had a live feed going to the fuel pump.
check make sure belts tight aswell buddy

If the battery light is on, the alternator isnt charging 12volt so that is your problem.
Well, Either a completely fucked alternator or its the earth or something similar.

thanks for the help lads, guna replace the alternator and see what happens. is this a hard job on the x14xe? looks to be in an awkward place, come from underneath?
