i think the best process to get it organised would be:

-get peoples names that are interested
-look at everyones location on a map
-decide on somewhere in the middle or found out how far people would be prepared to travel

i struggle to do three nights, and sometimes leave before the 2nd night but 24-48hrs or even 36hrs are what i'd be up for.

also trouble with going to somewhere big like suffolk water park or bluebells is you will get loads of other fishermen there and usually hard to catch on those lakes.

i'd be happy with 20lb fish and more bites

Essex is the home of carp tbh, loads of lakes around here.

Although i not too keen on some of the big popular commerical venues.

I quite like the idea of exculsivly hiring a small lake, is one or two i know of in cambridge area like that, but never tried them

http://www.fenlandfisheriesltd.co.uk/?page_id=57

"Covering 6 acres we believe the carp stock numbers around 250 fish with approximately 70% over 20lb and many upper twenties. There are a further 10-15 fish between 30lb-40lb with the present lake record at 40lb 2oz (October 09) Additional stocks include a few Grass carp to 25lb+, Catfish to over 60lb, Tench to 8lb, Bream, Roach and Rudd"

can book the whole lake for 9 people,

Ive blanked Suffolk water park several times, this isnt down to user error lol. the lakes are big, over fished crammed at the weekends and very difficult to fish, far from enjoyable imho.
