whats the average price am i going to pay for a redtop and a gearbox ?? and what else will i need ?

£500 is very reasonable tbh. You'll probably end up having to get a few more bits on the way obviously but that's a fair price

Engine & trans on its own, about £250~300.

Insurance for the conversion £450++ increased premium if your reasonably young.
