Quick questions regarding Microsoft licenses, specifically Office, am i right in thinking for a SMB enviroment i can only legally use Office 2010 Home and Business and Professional? And if i have a legit copy of Office 2007 i can purchase the Office 2010 Upgrade (do you physically need the previous version to be install and/or need the previous versions product key?)?
Tar
Edit - The Office 2010 'Upgrade' i was looking at was THIS. It states that it's also a Product Key Card which i understand is basically the product key on a card in a case, but will this allow me legitimately install a copy of Office 2010 (say install the trial version and then use this product key)?

What's the deal with Technet? I gather than the MS software you download is legit (do the products/keys used expire in anyway?), but is it legal to use in a business as I've always assumed it was for evaluation only?

Weird, because Microsoft have stopped doing upgrades from Office 2010 onwards as far as I'm aware (and at least what my Microsoft guy tells me).
You can only buy the PKC (download only) or retail pack (DVDs).
PKC is a few quid cheaper than retail.

That's what i was reading hence the questions
So i assume that Amazon link is for a PKC rather than an upgrade as it states and I'm guessing all would be a-ok if i purchased a few PKC 'copies' for use in a business?

Yeah the PKC is still a legit full product license so there's no worries on that score.
If you U2U me which PKCs you are after I can get a price for you if you like.

I am assuming they are for use at his work, and are used in the normal every day sense rather than for development work - in which case the answer (legally) is no.

Am i right in thinking the licenses are only valid if you have a valid MAPS subscription? ie: grab a years subscription and keep 10k+ worth of software

Action pack is only 259 a year. The licence keys continue working though.
