A Classic one of course, and gonna mod it up good. My mate got me started on this cos he has restored on himself and knows everything about them. Another good thing is my girlfriend loves old beetles and would have no objection to me modding it!! Result. Just gotta save a grand and sell the corsa.
Anyone know any good sites on beetles?

Mate of mine got this fucked Beetle for a tenner once, he was planning on restoring it himself, the firewall thing where the engine was behind, was all rusty and so was half of the floor pan! He decided to get a scrappy to take it away in the end, he got bored of it, and got a can of red spray paint and started spraying graffiti and things like "Project Shitter" on it, it was class

Good mate of mine is currently (well 3 years so far ) building a 2.1 out of his original 1300cc engine. twin 48"s etc. Should b doing a quatre in around 14 seconds when its finished. Gonna be a beast.
And of course, there is RTTS, the best event ever

the engine in the beetle is the same shape as a subaru flat four, which is quite easy to put in apparently, and I've seen it done
