I love to cook however cooking from scratch like that does tend to cost too much, as much as I enjoy it.

Plus the local pub has loads of meals on 2 for 6.95 and that includes steak and all sorts. Dont want to go pub everynight for tea but at that price it seems to make sense. Especially when a pack of chicken breat is about 5/6quid without veg etc

It doesn't cost more to make from scratch unless it's a complete 1 off.

You get more than 1 meals worth of chicken for 6 quid, vegetables aren't expensive.

I cook almost every night, Mrs does it Wednesday and Friday so we end up eating frozen stuff those nights.

Loads of Stir Fry's, Hot pots, Spag Bol, Lasagne's, Hunters Chicken, Sweet and Sour, Chilli Beef, Shepards Pie, Burgers etc etc etc

Also do a lot of throw together meals after getting in from the gym if i'm shattered, Corned Beef Hash, Spag Bol in a Jacket or for example, Boil some potatoes & veg, fry up some chicken with onion and garlic, slice the potatoes, fry them a bit of a homemade sauce (olive oil, mustard, pepper, chives, white wine vinegar, salt and rosemary) for around a minute, chuck everything else back into the pan for another minute or so and slop on a plate.

Sometimes I do similar with Beef or even slices of sausages, sometimes roast the potatoes as really small cubes so they are crunchy, different veg, different sauce's and stocks I've made that just sit in the cupboard/fridge

cooking is easy tbh and is cheap if you have everything in, if you are buying 1 offs its expensive

Best ones are when you do a fridge raid, nothing planned, cba to go shops, sojust pull everything out and make something.

Stir friedpork steaks with piri piri mayo and philli stirred through is mega. I was pissed when i made that. Done it since and its as good as i remebered.

Deffo want a bread maker and a deep fat frier so i can do my own fish and chips witg warm bread. Nom.
