Match abandoned due to a serious injury to Tom Bender. Suspected broken neck He was down on the deck for over 25mins. That is awful.

Just a collision between him and the GK apparently. I've been digging on Twitter but nobody knows for certain yet.

Accrington chief executive Rob Heys told BBC Sport: "It was a three-way collision between Tom, Ian Dunbavin and the Tranmere player.

"It's difficult at this time to say what the injury is but our club doctor and physio ran immediatly to his assistance.

"Both sets of players were shaken up by the incident hence why we took the decision to call the game off - it's only natural reaction when you see a player stay down for so long.

"He was starting to show signs of coming around as he left the ground."

The Broken Neck thing is getting around... Hope so much it's not true, and he can play again, well playing is the least he's thinking about at the moment, I hope to god he isn't paralysed

He's such a talent he has played for Wales U17's, U19's U21's often, Captaining one of the teams. His talent even extends to playing in defence for clubs (ColU, Stanley) and up front for Wales, scoring in the process a few times.
