could be a sensor that picks up the central locking, might be a spy robot, its definately not an ejector seat button

Could be where the sensor would go ? Mine has a dimple in the roof lining where it would go if it were fitted

i think its something to do with if the car is fitted with the sat nav system.

i remeber pushing one into the dash when vauxhall gave me a corsa for a loan car.

As said, it's a sunlight sensor for climate control, or a blank piece of plastic if you don't have it. I've got the same thing in my Punto.

My Astra VXR had one, but other Astra VXR's Didn't. I wondered what it was, mine had the Digital Climate Control Upgrade, so the Climate control theory sounds good.

its a button that you press, once you've pressed it a toothbrush pops out a compartment in the door card attached to a mechanical arm and it starts brushing your teeth
