1.6 16v engine no power
mate has a we corsa which has a 1.6 X16XE engine fitted it was a 1.4 16v originally when i took it a test drive there was really no power and sort of had a little flat spot around 5k then at 5.5k it started to pull really well until 7k which was the rev limiter the fella that he bought it off said that was because he had fitted the original airbox and that the engine wasn't getting enough air and because im not that knowledgeable on the echo tech engine.
the car is a 1999 corsa b the engine also has a dbilas dynamic manifold fitted which he called flowtech not sure if this is correct name or not.
i realise this would be a difficult problem to diagnose unless you were actually in the car but has anyone come across this problem before?

sounds like my 1.6 conversion on the 1.4 ecu, was fine as soon as I got the right ecu.
