As per thread title, any common causes ? Hot water is on everywhere else. Don't fancy another -20oc shower in the morning

I wish I could say I'm useless with this sort of thing. This is absolutely useless to you, I know.

If it's a thermostatic mixer then that might have failed and be stuck in cold.
If it's electric that could also have gone.
If you've water elsewhere that makes diagnosing slightly easier. Get pics.

Top one is temp, other is flow?
That is thermostatic. Can you feel the panel is warm? Ideally need to get to the pipes behind see if hot water is present there, see if it's that panel.

Which probably rules out the panel.
Can you get the pipes above, in the loft?
Or trace them back to the boiler. Strange that you have hot water in other taps but not that one.
Are the taps in that room hot?

btw. it won't be full on hot, just enough for there to be hot water connected up to it but not flowing.

Yup, sink literally next to it is fine. Its got a mind of its own & I don't know if you are able to link the two, but instead of going cold when you've been in there a while, it goes red hot to the point you have to jump out. House mate said it did that then just conked out completely (No water at all)

Is that expensive? Where is the mixer? Boiler or behind panel? What is a mixer

The detatchable shower head on the side, controls flow of that. That's also freezing

Yeah that's the main bit, hot and cold coming in down the wall and that regulates the temperature to the heads.
Next step would be taking the front off to see if you still can't see hot water. If you can, that means it's not being mixed properly. If you can't it means the hot isn't getting to it, which is more of a mystery given it's getting to the taps.
Also need to find out whether there's a separate power shower pump anywhere. That failing could probably also mean the same although they generally pump both feeds.

Feel the pipes I mean. Detect if hot water is present in the wall.

Fixed it nothing a bit of banging and hitting couldn't fix. Cheers Ian
