Alton Towers is nowhere near a station. You can add an hour on to get from Stoke/Derby station to Alton Towers using a taxi.

I live 2minutes from towers

not been for 4/5 years - since Rita first opened. Got bored as I used to go every day after school until I was 11. My Mum managed the bank on site and looked after the daily financing etc -you used to be able to get a loan whilst you were at towers!!

I used to get looked after by Henry the Hound and a guy on stilts, basically the team who did the parade and shows - Good times

Car won on the way home

So 1 - 1

No traffic and 80mph cruise home beat the train by 20mins

Had an amazing two days

Nemisis, 13 and air were the faves. Thursday 15mins was the longest que

Yesterday some were an hour +

Also renting a house with a hot tub makes me want one
Cold create of fosters gold whilst in the hot tub is amazing. Plus had some tunes on using the car so finally found a use for the remote that came with the head unit

Where was the house you were renting?

Friend of mine has a wood fire hot tub (basically a log burning stove built into a hot tub) which you can get ridiculously hot and cold beer never tastes better than in there on a freezing night!!

You need one, I can't believe they charge you £5 to park in their massive car park after paying £40 to get in

This was 20-23 years ago!! It never used to be as bad until John Broome was on the verge of bancruptcy because of Battersea Power Station - He sold it to Tussauds who owned London Planatarium and Madam Tussauds, it was the sold to the Merlin group iirc and even Dubai Investements Group at one stage, its been passed around the houses
