TBH even if they just slapped cosworth badges on and reworded the spec sheet people would still pay an extra 10k

they done it right with the corsa vxr.
designed the shell for the vxr to begine with and used it for all the models..1.2's ect
astra, they made the base model then stuffed all the vxr stuff on it.
and the corsa has come out with better handling. they should do the same to the astra as they did to the corsa

the new civic shape doesnt look anything like that so its a blatent fake shop. Gutted the new emissions regs mean no more high revving n/a engines can be made though. Premature death of the K20 imo

Like the the new hybrid Mugen CRZ though. Wont make production though probably

I think the engines are nothing short of astonishing. Back in the 80's they were making 150/160bhp from a 1.6 that is nigh on bulletproof. The B16 which has ran for over two decades can still take 300bhp without any internal modifications. In comparison with Vauxhall, who have made the Corsa VXR far too highly strung as it is, so it costs a fortune to strengthen it for more than 230bhp!

Yer something to be said for the b16 compared to simular engines for its time. Even the nice TU pug engines and x16 from vauxhall that came along later cant match it for reliability and power

Any Vtec you can think of really, is a masterpiece. The B16, B18c, K20. All excellent engines. I'm a fan boy and proud
