Wouldn't it be worthwhile to find out why the light came on? Hence why the light is there, to tell you someone is wrong...

Most small garages have diagnostic equipment now, or find someone with Vagcom/VCDS.

1.4 TSI is a fairly new engine. Still under warranty?

08 plate, bought as seen. Back to driving the Fiesta

Buy a code reader for £30-60 then you can read/delete them yourself every time!

yes the vagcom cables off ebay work and you can also download a free version of the software

Cables are only around a tenner so may as well purchase one. Some even come with a cable.

just download vagcom from rosstech i think it is on a free version and buy cheap lead... dont you have mates with tools ect? surely ian has a code reader

Just scan it FFS, could be a minor thing. VW will charge min of £60 for scanning it
