Was it a post97 only colour?
I ask because I saw a P reg low spec 3 door in a petrol station at the weekend which had colour coded pre facelift bumpers and was Brocade yellow

my friends 1.6 sport was a facelift on a 6 digit p plate but still had the old steering wheel That was arden which i think was only post 97.

Nope UK plate 1st registration was UK and it never left.

Post facelift only, could also have been a change of plate, P reg could legitimately be assigned to a newer car.

i've once seen on pistonheads a brocade yellow sport for sale (on W reg) with a black pre facelift bumper. looked weird and it was being sold at a dealers.
