Went to view a cheap winter runabout but there was a reason why it was cheap the bloke was middle aged Pakistani and claimed he has no idea what it is and still uses the car everyday

Anyways when I got there the car struggled to start then once it did it was trying to cut out on idle but was fine above idle revs. Cars only done 53k and has long tax and test and is advertised at 450 but iv haggled down to 370. Any1 have any ideas what it could be

clicking noise might be coming from the plug cover, mine used to do it all the time so i took it off.

try disconnecting the battery overnight and then reconnect it in the morning to clear the ecu and let it reset itself.

Nah, if it was that, it wouldn't be fine above idle, I remember what mine was like when the AFM went when you revved it.

There won't be much wrong with a 1.0 , chances are its an afm and the clicking noise is the injector
