GM recommend you use the red stuff. You can buy it direct from Vaux doesn't cost that much. You want to a 50/50 mix.

i just bought a 5l tub for about £16 of blue and mixed it 50/50 myself.. never had any issues

oh and disconnect your bottom hose or drain plug on the rad if they have one...? let it drain out obv, put the cap or hose back on, check its secures and slowly fill it up again...
always let it tick over for a bit with the cap off until its at a reasonable temp...

apparently (not 100% sure if this is true) but when it warmed up, put your blowers on full heat for a bit, it can prevent air locks yes?
check coolant level is about rite then put the cap on, really easy to do mate

If its emptying the header tank that quickly I'd be checking everything that you disconnected to flush the system is back on tight. As for colour?

Was the old stuff a brown colour too? Did you flush the system before filling up?

If you typed properly it would be much easier.
Jubilee clips are shit vs the standard clips, They are a arse but they work well.

Unless you properly flushed the rad, it will go brown again, Rad is normally full of old shit and will take a bit of effort to get it clean enough.
