can any one who has got a corsa with a 2.0 16v engine in please tell me the measurement between the solid inner wing and the cambelt cover.
i need to know this as i keep eating cv joints, not sure if the engine needs to be moved across slightly, or weather my driveshafts have got to much angle on them, thanks people,

if ya lowered 60mm, ya will constantly eat ur inner joint

same happened to me with my 8v engine

if ya lowered 30-40 mm ya usually ok

wot i had to do was get the shafts machined so the cv joints sit a little further out (making the total shaft longer) and never had the problem again

as i said if car too lower - it pulls the shaft out of the cv joint and destroys it

i have heard that you can put a spacer in between the outer cv and the hub, but you would be better speaking too fearless about it. he used to have a nova that used to eat cvs for fun but managed to sort it.

Yep - that should cure it - the problems caused by the cage in the cv joint running at its outer limits (ie its weakest position)
If u put a spacer between the outer cv joint and the wheelbearing (u have to redrill the theaded section where the split pin goes) - this will allow the joint to run in its correct position
