I'm glad it's not littered with footballers this year. I think a few could win it:
Cavendish, Strauss and Clarke are the obvious ones, Cook maybe has an outside chance same with McIlroy. The rest have no chance imo.

No Man United players? This award is a farce.
Cavendish should win it.

If Cavendish doesn't win it I am going to flip out. The mans a living legend, consistently been the best sprinter for 4 years, first brit to win a Jersey at the Tour and World Champ to boot.
The others can all do one.

Cook for me, been shitting runs for the last 12months now. Big tons against the Aussies and damn near a triple ton against India is a fair effort.
Andy Murray though

I think its disgusting that there are no women nominated this year. Pure discrimination.

Chrissie Wellington is talking about boycotting the ceremony because there is no women in the final 10 shortlist.
I was wondering, would the sports men be bitching and having a period if it was an all women top 10?
I also read that womens sport contributes towards just 2% of media coverage of sport.......

I'd have definately put Amy Williams and Jessica Ennis in the top 10
Although actually Jessica Ennis should probably be there on merit.

Did they do anything in the last 12 months? Ennis was good a couple of years ago, but I couldn't name a woman who's done anytging in the last 12 months, even tho it was the athletics world championships
