I've noticed on a few forums that posts in certain areas die/decay/delete after a certain timespan. Should this be something Corsasport should implement? In sub-forums such as general chat or projects this wouldn't be appropriate because the archival information provides value to the forum, but what about in off day?

Just a thought I wanted to discuss

What's the benefit?

I'm guessing most would argue that it gives you a smaller, more efficient database. But I don't think we need that on CS?

Just for user privacy, is there a reason a post on the internet should last forever and ever?

I like how everything's there historically tbh. If a user wants to delete his own post then he can, plus he shouldn't say it in the first place if it's going to be an issue at some point.

Some forum systems give you an option to have forums auto-pruned or auto-locked over a certain period of time, I think the latter would be useful here for those that like to revive threads from 5 years ago for example.

Easy to do but does make things more complicated.

There are no speed concerns with the current data.
