Maybe wrong section, but my clip has just snapped and sprayed it's grease every were, i've got a new clip and a tub of C.v grease but how much do i put in? A garage said to pack the joint its self with as much as i can but not the boot but this seems a lot?

I kind of got a massive tub wasn't much more then a tube so would easily do a few cars

Just take the cv joint out, pack it, put it back in and do smear all around the joint.

Just glob it all over the joint, as long as the boot isn't packed with it then it will be fine.

Erm this is some think i haven't done before how hard is it to do? As in take it out? Was just going to pull back the boot and pack it in the joint till it's near full

Just pull the boot back and put a bit in and put a new clip on, will be fine. Fuck taking the joint off.

As said
Pull the boot back, pack the grease into the joint, move the c.v. round in a circular motion and do it again,
Once c.v. is packed, put some more grease in the c.v. boot itself.
New clip on and job done.
Messy bugger of a job though.
