hello,
my mate is building a vauxhall corsa 1.4 sport track car.
he has a Vauxhall nova OMP Roll Cage & Wondered if it would fit in?
also what are the best modifications to make to the 1.4 16 valve engine to get the best performance out of it ?
cheers

I think they're a bit lower on the main hoop.
Is it already made up / welded together?
Engine code is X14XE if you want to have a search about for information on tuning it.
Although the best way to get 16 extra horsepower is to replace it with a 1.6

no, its all in sections at the minute,
and he was just planning on keeping the X14xe for the time beeing, to see if he like doing track days e.t.c,
hes wizz with vauxhall and if he like doing trackdays & do enough of them then he will no doubt be putting a redtop in with throttle bodies, but just wants to get enough out of the 1.4 for now.
regards,
josh.

If the main hoop is separate you can just offer that up for height. Might also be that if its a bit short you can find a bit more in the mount points which will need welding to the shell anyway.
Where abouts are you chaps? I'll have some deals on days next year if we get more people together for them.

urm well,
one was a silver scooby with a black spoiler,
one was a standard MX5 with white wheels,
one was a Fiesta z-tec with a 1.7 puma conversion with black wheels
& the other was a silver Clio 172.
me and my mate went to watch in a Mk2 Astra GTE, all black with Antracite speeline allesios on,
its immaculate.
