I have a corsa b 1.4 8v mpi engine. It has started tapping at about 3.5-4k it does it when the engine isn't under load, I took the cam cover off today and the cams themselves have no lip on or anything but there could be some wear on the rocker arms, could this be causing the tapping or would it be more likely to be the hydraulic lifters causing the noise?

still need hepl on this  ive replaced all the lifters and the arms but it still happens.
could it be a simple problem like oil and filter needs changing? i did an oil and filter change about 4k ago?

Now mate obviously could be a lot of things but I had a similar noise on mine 1.4 16v sport and was the timing belt tensioner which is common on this engine. It started off quiet but got gradually worse it came on around 3k but went altogether above 4k more be worth checking out
