Wouldnt get a glanza for 2k unless its a turd! maybe pick up a starlet for around 2k but dont expect anything good.
Id stay clear as Nik said about pulsars, most of them these days are money pits unless your spending a good few ££ on one.
For power ur not going to get much out a uno either  will face nothing but problems too. could pick up a 200sx s14/s14a these days, engines are pretty bomb proof too.

I know uno turbos very very well. They are silly quick for little money and very easy to work on. 200bhp from a car that weighs fuck all is quick. Also a good one will only go up in money now, very few left. I have 2k to buy car and will use a monthly budget to buy parts.
XE corsa is very tempting, but id always regret not doing a LET. Think ill keep my eyes peeled for a Corsa GSI and save for a nice LET engine or find a good Uno turbo.
