16GB of RAM? That would be sufficient in some high load server ffs, a desktop it's major overkill. I would be suprised if you found a game that needed more than 4GB RAM tbh. Waste of money if gaming is all you're going to throw at it.

I have 2Gb at the mo and never use my PC for gaming. Only want 8Gb as I'm slowly replacing everything as my PC is 7 years old and needs updating.

8-12GB is fine but 16GB seems overkill tbh. But, more the merrier.. as long as its decent ram and not crap

Better off with 8GB of decent fast ram than 16GB of Ebuyer special.

16gb in work PC, doesn't struggle with anything I imagine your graphics card will struggle first!

ZOTAC GeForce GTX 590 Graphics card - 3 GB - GDDR5 SDRAM would help on that score

The equivalent cost of a complete build on a graphics card
