I'm in shock...

I went to get my innoculations topped up today and see if I needed any new/different ones for places i'm off to soon.

£250 later I had 5 holes in my arm! £250!!!!!!

Blood test, Polio/Tentanus/Dip, Yellow Fever, Hep B (3rd) and Typhoid.

No wonder these companies rake it in

Cavey... its not NHS You dont need them for the UK.

Brett - I didnt pay, but thats not the point. I'm still shocked at how expensive it is.

My dog got his boosters yesterday... 3 of them - he was only £30!!!!

Pharmaceutical companies make money from people being sick hence why they never cure anything completely, no sick people = no money. So they keep everyone sick

I had to get 6 jabs once for working with activated biological sludges in an ETP plant. Dead arm all round like!

I nearly went to Ethiopia many years ago when I dated an air hostess, 4 jabs and I nearly fainted before she even got them ready, we went to Turkey instead

my typhoid one was free.

had 2 have 2 to go to egypt but can't remember the other one.

Fee got hers free too, but that was just typhoid.

I doubt you'd get hep a, hep b, yellow fever on NHS. Tetanus, polio, diptherea and typhiod yes.

I think there is something odd with Hep, like if you get A+B together then its free. When Ive been to Africa Ive only ever paid for Malaria tablets, never any jabs inc yellow fever.
