thats the average wage if you are working on the rigs there. thats what my mate does. he makes around £4k.

funny how nobody has told him to move to the UK...... do you know why? because uk is a shed to live in!!! i would swap for norway anyday of the week!! high tax, do you get health care and stuff?

I'd think they (noggies) would be on a hell of a lot more than that working on a platform.

48k a year before getting taxed is pennies for them.

50% tax, but you get decent health care, clean towns, great standard of living and some sort of subsidised mortgages.

Noggies I've worked with in the past (5-6 years ago) were all on about 9k a month (x12) for 180days work.

Your mate is under paid then buddy as im based onshore on a spooling station and im on alot more than 4k a month.
