Hi I'm looking at getting a Clio 172. What's the main things to look out for?
Iv had cars with high mileage before but what are the clios like after they reach 90k+

Check the cambelts been done at a guess

Gearboxes and engine mounts aren't great.

proof of belts being done, gearbox noises and broken engine mounts, airbag warning light caused by the wiring on the seats, abs light because of the abs rings rusting and falling apart, wet floors caused by leaking sunroof

Springs are known to break. Shocks can leak.

Can get these so cheap now it's daft. A lot of fun car for the £££

Cheers I'll make sure I have a look for all that's stuff. The only thing that puts me off is insurance. I can insure an Lcr and mk4 r32 for a grand yet these are 1500+

I have springs and a shock for sale and an iSO plug for steering wheel controls if you get one
