how long can a car stand in primer in a cold but dry garage without causing rust?
the car will have been blastedand primed..
thing is im at a cross roads
the car is just about ready for the new quarters and sills (£700 for parts alone) but i was thinking i might cut the old ones off and then get the car blasted (£500) to remove any rust from inner sills ect..
the problem with this is if i get it blasted i dont have the cash for quarters and sills right away so it will be sitting in primer with no sills or quarters for a month or so and even once that is done it will take a few months if not more for me to get respray cash saved..
now i know a lot of people will say save the cash and get it all done at once but i was thinking if i can get it blasted now i can make all the brackets for bits, welding, filler, tarting up and stuff before it gets sprayed to keep me busy
