Looking into buying a used k&n Panel filter!
How do i clean it up before putting it on and maintain it?

Oh and if its new, they come pre oiled and ready to go, you just need to clean it and re-oil it every few thousand miles

Thanks mate, What if i dont have the k&n cleaning kit are there any other ways that wont ruine it or just go out and buy the kit?

Yeah you would be best with the kit, its only about a tenner and does a few times iirc, but like i said if its a new filter its pre-oiled ready to fit

well its about 2 months old! Doesnt look too bad so wil pop it in if i get it and clean it in a few months Thanks

Yer been on the look for a while as they just sound a bit nicer and stop my engine sound overpowering the exhaust

I just blast it with the hosepipe (opposite way to airflow) leave it to dry then spray on some k&n oil.

instructions say dont user powerful water, or wtte.



use the kn cleaning kit soap / oil and lightly running water
