I'd post this in the help zone but its not Corsa related..
Just replaced the turbo on a 3.0d X5, I used genuine garrett refurb, it had no play and was VSR checked so I know the turbo is 'good'..
It was all fine until I took it for an MOT (thankfully it passed) *BUT* on the way there once it got hot it developed a little squeak (sounds like a belt slipping) which occours under-load and only for a second or two, or if you try and hold it under load it pulses slightly. I got someone to rev it up while I had a listen and its 100% coming from the turbo/exhaust area.
My thought is a leak between the manifold and turbo but I havent had a proper chance to take a look but I'm going to have a butchers at it tonight.
Anyone else got any other ideas I could look into if my first idea fails

Have you checked the vacuum on the actuator? Maybe the wastegate is leaking somewhere?

I'd check for air leaks too.

Ive had the same problem on Z20LET's before mate, is normally broken stud, blown gasket or cracked manifold. So a leak between manifold and turbo seems a legit reason.

Thats what I'm hoping.. I've not touched the manifold so fingers crossed I've either not done up the bolts tight enough or the gasket is shot

Yeh not telling you how to do your job, you're obviously competent but I have always replaced any old gaskets regardless of condition or age. Especially those under severe heat and pressure

Sounds like an air leak.
