Great John St is nice if you want a Boutique hotel. Not that close to OT tho.

How close to OT do you need? Theres no really nice ones within walking distance tbh.

If you need to be really close then The Ramada is about the best within walking distance at Salford Quays.

Or you could try a serviced apartment which there are plenty at Salford Quays.

Pardon me, Google maps let me down there.

Still only 10min cab ride though.

Personally I've stopped in Hilton and Radisson Edwardian, again both centre but nice hotels. Hilton had the edge but we were in a suite compared to a regular room in the other.

Brother stays in Lowry quite a bit, seems to be his Manchester hotel of choice.
