Heater fan doesn't work on speeds 1&2 but does work on 3&4, only just recently started doing it. I've read that it could be the resistor pack? Am i right in thinking replacing this would solve it? Also, is it located in or around the pollen filter, cheers peeps

did you connect everything back up in its correct sequence after?, i.e. did the swivel switch go back in the right way?
i put mine back in 90 degrees to the factory fit position so it was always out of sync witht he numbers on the dash

Happens a lot on Pumas, never heard of it on Corsas, I'll have a spare one if you can locate it.

That's the thing dude, i've not had anything off recently, it just seems to have stopped working, which is why i'm thinking it could be the resistor pack corroding or something. I'll have to have a dig around tomorrow and see what i can find unless someone can point me in the right direction.

what car?
this is common on fords. Resitor is inside passenger footwell, behind glovebox.
When you fit a new one, let it hang on it's wiring dont put it back in it's housing they get too hot in there and burn out.

The whole point of the resistor pack is to get hot.

I said TOO hot, not hot.
Letting it hang on it's wires is a fix recommended by ford.

A bodg recomended by ford because they cant be botherd to actually fix it. If you are any good soldering etc you can change the resistors.
