My car runs out insurance at the beginning of april, 14th iirc.

is there a certain amount of time i can go without insuring a car til i lose my no claims?

I'm selling my car within the next month and planning to go a month or 2 without a car but obviously don't want to lose my no claims.

silly question ? I'm not sure. just wanted to be 100%

The amount of time it is valid for varies between insurers. The longer you are not insured will see a decrease in who will accept it when you come to insure a car again.

Some insurers will be a lot less than 2 years.

I remember reading 2 years with my insurer. I'm sure it says on the certificate somewhere as well?
