My driver side seat belt doesn't go back by it's self i've got to push it back manually and even then it doesn't always go back to normal. any help appreciated

Probably best off replacing it.

yeah that's what i thought, just thought i'd get some advice of someone from here, cheers for the advice.

You need tips for the job? Its not massively difficult in terms of seeing what to do but you'll need good strong tools and some good leverage to get to it, the bolts are very easily chewed if you use poor gear.
Basically rear door card off and you'll see the belt attached to the shell, 22mm I think? Get a breaker on it and make sure you're tight to the bolt, its fairly low profile.
Once that is off you also need to undo the shoulder level hanger, flat blade to take the cover off, just clips off, can't remember what that is, torx I think.
Last bit is the rail on the bottom, need a smaller torx to get the sill trim off first I think then another big bolt on the rail at one end, and unhook it from the other.
