i wouldnt bother with show plates, they are fast becoming the latest thing for police to latch on to because they often confuse their ANPR cameras, you are far better off putting some legal plain plates on and saving yourself the grief, getting pulled by the police for silly things just gives them an opportunity to go over your car to see what else they can find

Got them done over the road at the Alfa dealer in the end (who sold me my car), cost me £16 and I've got them in my hand now, 100% legal.

On that note though, I've got P8OWW completely plain and no space on my car and never ever had a problem.
