Alright guys,
little problem we have on my g/f's car.
Started it up the other day, was fine, left it running whilst i pumped her tyres up etc and after driving about 1/4 mile, the car cut out and wouldn't restart. I assumed it had no petrol in, stuck 8ltrs in, started back up. went the petrol station and it cut out on the forecourt. Put 30quid in, started fine, started fine in the morning but as she got in it after going the asda, it wouldn't start again.
It's really intermittent and after a bit of digging some people have suggested possibly the crankshaft sensor. Anyone shed any light on this?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Cheers
Jon

If the EML is on, you'll need tech2 or opcom to read the codes, you cant do a paperclip test on these.

More than likely crank sensor, cuts out when hot but will start again when left for a bit.
99% crank sesor

No EML lights lads
Joe, Thanks for that, I did a few searches and on other forums it was suggested it was the crank sensor but that has kind of confirmed my thoughts. I'll have to try it!
Thanks mate!
