I've got some head units that I want to put on eBay for sale this weekend, now the thing is I want to take a pic of them working but I don't want to go to the hassle of connecting each one to the car.
Is there a way of wiring them up at home to show them illuminated etc. without blowing it or myself up in the process? I've often seen photos on eBay of people that do this but am unsure how this is done.

get a car battery, stick red wire from the head unit to the positive and black wire to the negative.
it will power up.

Yeah I don't need to play music through it or anything, just want to light it up to show it powers on and that.
