This will sound like a very daft question - so please dont try and act smart. Basically i drained the coolant on my car as it was filled with crap, now it wont refill (think a pipe/radiator is blocked) there is basically no water/coolant in the car and I am worried about driving it. The garage I want to take it to is 1 mile away. Would I be able to drive it there or is it not advisable at all? Thanks!

Personally I wouldn't, without the water the engine will heat up very quickly.

Will do damage if it gets too hot and you won't have a working gauge without water.
Are you sure its not an air lock?

practice being towwed around your street if you can first. if you feel confident then take it out. you can also get solid tow bars that stop you from running up the arse of the tow car

No idea Ian, When I tried to drain the coolant first it would drain then stop and the water stayed in the resvoir so I had to remove the coolant tank and do it that way.
