Got the paper work for my private reg and finally got my log book through.
What else do I need to take it to the DVLA office and do it face to face?
Logbook, reg papers, MOT and tax disk?
Then get plates mate and fit them?

Print off the V317 and read exactly what it tells you to do but i think you've mentioned eveything apart from obviously filling the form in.
Pretty sure they let you drive home with the old reg on and give you 24hours to get the reg swapped over. They will give you the new tax disc and mot there and then with the new reg on. So it's just a case of getting the plates made and letting your insurance know.

It says on the V317 that I'll have to pay £80 fees but they where all included in the sale price of the plate?
Oh shit yeah, forgot insurance!

It should say on the reg form you got in the post that the transfer fee has been pre paid

They make it sound much more complicated than it is. It's just a case of taking all your paperwork with you and the guy on the desk takes it off you and then you wait for another desk and they hand the new stuff to you, it's as simple as that
I've been there loads of times now without any problems so far, double check you have everything beforehand though

Easier to do it through the post. Done it for the missus, she had it back the same week.
