i would personally try a "cheap tag" on. For an everyday watch they are good - solid build, quite heavy and look the part

Carrera's are not really an everyday watch

Cheap tags are terrible for the money you pay.

Looked at a few recently for a smart daily watch too. A couple I really like are:

I'd be looking at the mechanical Tissot's more.

Victorinox watches aren't actually too badly put together, not for £365 quid though, knock the 5 off the end.

I like that, don't know if I would wear it enough to justify it. I don't know I would wear a watch enough to justify a £30 watch though

Care to elaborate abit more ?

I just picked them on pure looks. All I've ever looked at in watches are the looks and a decent brand previously!

Coscto had very similar ones for £50.

They aren't bad quality but not £300 worth.

The Getat watches someone mentioned in another thread look great value for money and I've read some really good reviews. Suppose it just depends on if you don't mind waiting for it to come from China or it looking a lot like a Paneri http://www.siswatch727.com/index.do

Mate of mine has just ordered one so I'm interested to see what it is like in the flesh.
