walks into a local newspapers head office, he says to the girl behind the reception desk................................

i wish to put a message in your obituary section

ok, the girl says but it is going to cost you one pound per word........

ok the man says, so he writes the message 'Doris is Dead' on a peice of paper and hands it to the girl.

thats a bit short isn't it she replies!?!

i only have 3 pounds on me the man says....................... feeling sorry for the distressed and frail old man the girl says " i will go and speak to the editor and see if we can do you a special deal"

That would be brilliant the old man says.............................

A few minutes later the girl returns.

Ok, she says, i am happy to tell you that we can allow you anothe £3, the equivelant of 3 more words!!!!

The old man is elated!!! thank you so much he says!! this really means a lot to me!!!

so he takes another peice of paper to write hie new message including the 3 other words that he is allowed................. He gives it to the receptionist and it now says:

"Doris is Dead, Metro for sale!!!!!"
