Girlfriends turn (again  ). Parked in a pub car park for about a couple of minutes to pop into the Post Office (opposite her car) What would you do? She has emailed the place with regards to the time her being there and how lack of signs there is and the actual ticket machine is right next to the main door of the pub.

It's not council issued so ignore it. Emailing wasn't a good move but it just means she'll probably get a few more letters than she normally would've done before they give up.

I've parked there loads of times before on a Saturday to use the post office never had a problem. Just my missus lol.

There's one near where I live, although they refund you the price of the ticket if you buy something from them.

dont pay it, its from a 3rd party company set up to bully and trick people into paying, unless its oficial council or police just ignore it mate they cant do anything
at they end of the day why would they pay the dvla for your detals and all the expense of going to court just for 40 quid lol just aint worth it to them.
they work on the basis some people are worried about the threats on the ticket and pay it off for piece of mind to themselves
