Not looking good, just spoke to my dad in Phuket, he said he felt it and so did my brother.
All hotels and beaches have been evacuated and everyone is getting up the hills and view points, apparently its chaos. No tsunami has hit there yet though, but on its way.

Sky news said alert of the Tsunami can be surpassed and no real aftermath will be occurring.

is it on it's way for sure? they have issued warnings but that article seems to play it down a bit. says the movement was in a different direction so it's unlikely to cause a tsunami. maybe they are trying not to add to the panic.

Just spoke to my mum, she said probably no tsunami, but better that they issue the warnings and people get up the hills and safe places after what happened last time. Apparently it was a different kind of quake to the one that caused the tsunamis before
