was out at my phase 1 astra gsi v6 adjusting clutch cABLE and putting new speedo cable in went to start car it turned over for 2 secs then all power was lost no dash lights no hazzards basically no power anywhere what cud have caused this also ive been at it an hour when ignition is turned a relay clicks engine management light is on when ignition is turned but very dim interior light also came back on there but still nothing to start it

Sounds like you have knocked an earth on the starter motor or one that goes from gearbox to body... Double check all the earths on engine bay and starter motor

the thin altenator wire isnt conectd to anything from what ive bin told it goes to triger on starter motor hence no batery lite or power to starter
