just wondering if anyone runs either of these at home/at work or whatever what benefits you saw from installing one?

my netgear router sometimes doesnt allow my iphone to connect it just says 'unable to connect' but then it might joing it randomly 5mins later when it can iv tried loads to fix it but im hardly on wifi as the routers at my desk and my deskop/ps3 are wired

rather then replace my router which other wise works great, i was thinking about adding an airport or time capsule to my setup to serve the wireless at mine, claims up to 5x wifi performance for 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi devices such at my iphone, macbook and its dual band so my apple stuff will run on a different band to everyone elses laptops

thoughts?

I run a Extreme, far better signal strength around the house than the woeful Sky router. I was struggling for signal strength in a room about 10 meters away from the Sky, now a considerable distance away I still have signal.

The new apple AP's are 3x3 also, meaning 450mbps with a capable client.

I use the latest time capsule (which is essiently airport extreme with a built in HDD).

Its noticably faster on the idevices than my old netgear.
I switched 3 years ago for the same problems your experiencing below.

Swapping to any equivalently specced router will surely be the same step up from a 5 year old ISP supplied netgear

Would rather an Asus (N55/56/66) or a TP-Link over anything Apple; would be equally as good if not better tbf.
