My wife and I were at the food court at Merry Hill (local shopping centre) yesterday and we saw this couple with their little girl, I think she must have been about 4.
The woman walked off to the toilets and the bloke went to get something from one of the food stalls, leaving the kid by herself for a few minutes.
Stuff like this pisses me off, fucking idiots.

Pisses you off that he walks a few metres from his kid? Yes, makes sense. When you're a parent your most important job is to constantly fear that perverts are around and therefore never let your child out of sight.
Best thing you can do is lock them up until they are 30 to shield them from the harsh reality that is the world.
No wonder people live with their parents till their mid/late 20's and don't know shit about how the world works if the general idea is that children needs to be wrapped in cotton and never left out of sight.
People are reading too many horror storries and watching too many films imo.
Overprotecting children was never a solution to anything.
