I'm thinking about changing my number plates on the Corsa From the legal pressed and Opel surrounds for some shortened plates? What size plates look good on gsi front bumpers? With out looking to small?
Any pics be great! On gsi front bumper if poss
Or any other size plates or styles what you's got??

There is no legal plate width. Height yes as it's determined by the character height. If you had a plate ' F1' you could legally shorten it right down as long as the spacing was ok and height of letters etc..

It can't fail the MOT on being too short if you have the correct spacing at the edge.

according to the MOT tester the actual plate was to small as in the size of the plate.
it was a normal plate when put on the car but the lad who had the car before me had cut the plate down

As long as you've got the correct widths around it it can't be too small, I'm guessing it was something else and not what Allan is talking about.

My old one:
Although not on a GSi bumper.
Was stopped 3 times and told to change it, but seen as they never gave me paperwork to prove id changed it, I left it on, along with the tints:

True 3/4 plates are reduced in height also. However a standard letter height plate can be cut short to just before and after the reg character as long as there is a valid space to the edge. (11m gap I believe)
So 'F1' could be cut to | F1 | legally as opposed to standard | F1 | etc...
