Looking forward to the videos coming out. That set of bollards have been on loads of CCTV clips. Usually people trying to follow a bus through.

When you look at the annual bill for the emergency services an extra 30k is fuck all. The look on 2 coppers faces after something like this is priceless.

quote: The bollards are designed so that only buses and emergency vehicles can pass through by activating a sensor which lowers the posts. But the bollards rise again immediately after each vehicle has passed.
Sucks to be them.

surely if the bollards are designed to let emergency vehicles through they should have let the unmarked bmw through? what happens if there is a shooting down the street and they can't get through? stupid imo

i assume they work in the same way some traffic lights work with the sensors on them so that when an emergency vechile is coming towards them with the sirens/lights going they change and i assume the bollards would drop (i would assume that when lights/sirens arent going there are no signals being sent to the recievers therefore they wouldnt have known to drop and it would assume its just another ordinary car).

it is very funny indeed, but i don't get why people were giving the police officers lectures on safe driving and saying it's karma.
in the paper yesterday it read as though they were on a call and had their lights on. i bet they wouldn't be laughing so much if one of their loved ones had been shot because these officers couldn't get there.

The IRA parked their bomb lorry thing just up the road from there, the bollards block off the area as it's still quite a high value target with the shops and pedestrians - they mustn't have had the fob in the car or there was a fault. Funny but don't think they deserve the shit they've been getting.

The bollards round here doesnt work on lights/siren you need a fob built into car so not officers fault IMO. Agree Ben
