Well this afternoon a fella from about 250 miles south of me, drove this up to swap with my Golf. Been in talks for a few weeks, drove up, and done the deal.
Golf wouldnt sell, and was sick of seeing it on the drive.
This needs a few things doing to it, which is why i got it. A bit of a project ready for when im back on the road in december! So plenty of time to make it nice!

And where the magic happens...

Plans...
Post 97 sport interior
Post 97 or gsi front bumper
Arches and bumper tops anthracite
New bonnet as this 1 is rusted
And just a general tidy up really

Dont really mind the interior but bits are hanging off here and there, back seat doesnt clip in etc. It did have custom leather retrimmed interior but that was shit so he swapped it back to this.
Think i prefer the darker look of the post 97 interior too. Or might go real funky and adapt some leathers from another car to make them fit instead of the usual calibra leathers.

Engine bay needs a good tidy up alright. Its currently idling too high when its warm, so need to get that sorted.

Not sure? Conversion was only done a few months ago. i know that much. Only 1 previous owner on the old engine, and 1 since its had the conversion.

Will have to keep an eye out for this when you're back on the road.. looks decent but could do with some silver wheels or something to break up all the black

Been thinking the same. Never been a lover of slabs, but can't decide if I want to keep them or get some different wheels in silver

Pre 97 interiors look much better than post 97. I think the pre 97 bumpers are better too

I might keep it then. Need to decide :lol
Anyone know how to attach the plastic bit at the top of the door card? its just sat on in the picture, and know clips or anything to attach it with? They fall off as soon as you open the door
