I admit when they actually go out and actually arrive at a shout they do a good job but they are over paid and do a cracking job convincing the british public they are the best thing since sliced bread 
As for Shellys original question...No I couldn't be a fireman, the job just wouldn't suit me at all....I like to be busy but blood, guts and brains don't worry me in the slightest

I've got a lot of respect for the ambulance service, thats one job that I couldn't do.
It is true abou the fire service, the station I am stationed at hardly gets any shouts.

One of my best mates brothers is a retain fireman and he sees some sights.
got a few mates who are pramedics in a farming area, so many shotgun sucides and farming accients but they laugh about it.
Guess you have to otherwise you're go mad.
